I used to work with someone that would say, ‘Mmmm, that’s good enough, but I could do it better.’ I told a friend about something that happened with this person at work that day, and my friend said, ‘That’s because he’s a prima donna.’ I laughed my head off. I couldn’t believe he said that. From that experience I started to write my song ‘Pre-Madonna.’ After listening to myself sing and rehearse it, I realized it was really about me. Because, in order to capture your dreams you must believe in them, and believe in yourself most of all.--Johnny
